2026 Harvest Interns

Job Description:

WILLAMETTE VALLEY - Lachini Vineyards is seeking harvest interns for the upcoming 2026 vintage. We are a small, family owned winery with a biodynamic estate vineyard in the Willamette Valley (Chehalem Mountains AVA). The winery is located in Tualatin, Oregon, just 20 minutes from both Portland and Newberg.

We produce ~6000-8000 cases a year of ultra-premium Pinot Noir, Rose', and Chardonnay from our estate vineyard, as well as Pinot Gris from the Columbia Gorge and Cabernet Sauvignon from Washington State. We also make Methode Champenoise sparkling Rose', port-style fortified wine. This is a great opportunity to be involved with crafting premium wines and participate all aspects of wine making with multiple varietals. Job duties include fruit sampling, lab analysis, fruit sorting, pump-overs, punch downs, additions, fermentation monitoring, barrel work and racking, pressing, and lots of cleaning.

Previous vintage experience working inside a winery is preferential as is winemaking coursework. Open to those desiring to further their wine education who work in the restaurant industry. Forklift experience a bonus. These positions will last approximately 6 – 9 weeks, from late-August to the end of October. There is a potential for one intern to remain on as a cellar master or cellar assistant.

Must be able to work long, variable hours including weekends and have a good understanding of the wine making process and a passion for Pinot Noir. We are a tight-knit team who care deeply in our craft and seek professionals who embody the same holistic and meticulous approach to crafting some of the worlds finest wines!

These positions will cover every level of harvest activity from fruit receival and berry sorting, to fermentation management, pressing and barrel work. We will spend time with each member of the team to ensure that they gain a solid understanding of our winemaking style and techniques.

Harvest positions will generally start early September and continue through mid November, but can vary depending on vintage/growing season.

Job Requirements/Skills
•  Completed a degree in, or currently studying enology, viticulture or related field (preferred but not required)
•  Self-motivated and efficient with his/her use of time and comfortable working in a small team
•  Ability to drive a forklift and possess a valid driver’s license
•  Able to lift and carry up to 50lb
•  Able to stand for long periods of time
•  Able to climb ladders
•  Willing to work long hours, including weekends
•  Attention to detail is a must
•  Most importantly, possess a true passion for wine and an interest in the production of high quality wines

Compensation:
$20-$22 per hour DOE. Overtime eligible.
