GHJ Search and Staffing serves as the recruitment division of GHJ, a prominent national accounting and advisory firm. Our team provides qualified Accounting and Finance professionals on a temporary and permanent basis across a broad range of industries. GHJ’s relationship with our Global Advisory and Accounting Network provides the resources needed to better understand client’s needs, attract a higher caliber of candidates and assess candidate potential.
An established software company in San Francisco is looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join their team on a temporary basis . This role will support technical accounting functions and reporting, with direct reporting to the Controller and a dotted-line relationship to the CFO. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a strong public accounting foundation and technical accounting expertise.
Compensation: up to $140,000.
\n Key Responsibilities:- Manage the month-end and quarter-end close process
- Lead technical accounting efforts, including ASC 606 and ASC 842
- Draft and maintain technical accounting memos
- Prepare for and assist with external audits
- Review software revenue and commissions in accordance with ASC 606
- Oversee lease accounting and financial reporting under ASC 842
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Public accounting background (Big 4 or national firm) required
- 6–8+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience with software/SaaS industry accounting preferred
- Proficiency in QuickBooks
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and technical accounting standards
