We're looking for a Lead Product Marketing Manager to join our team.

Location : United States, preferably Houston TX / Santa Clara CA / Cary NC (we're unable to sponsor a visa at this stage).

This is a senior individual contributor position, responsible for transforming customer insight, market dynamics, product innovation, and business strategy into compelling narratives that drive growth.

In this role, you will serve as a strategic connector across Product Management, Sales, Revenue Marketing, Customer Success, Partners, Analysts, and Corporate Marketing. You'll build messaging, positioning, Messaging Source Documents (MSDs), launch strategies, thought leadership, competitive differentiation, and go-to-market programs that accelerate awareness, adoption, pipeline, and revenue.

Success in this role requires strong storytelling, market insight, executive communication, and cross-functional influence. Key Responsibilities:

Messaging, Positioning & Narrative

• Develop and maintain messaging architectures, value propositions, Messaging Source Documents (MSDs), buyer personas, and differentiated market narratives.
• Translate customer needs, market trends, and product innovation into compelling stories that resonate with executive, technical, and business audiences.
• Ensure consistent messaging across launches, campaigns, content, enablement, web properties, and thought leadership initiatives.

Launches & GTM Activation

• Lead Product Marketing strategy for launches, market initiatives, and growth programs.
• Partner across Product Management, Revenue Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Digital teams to align messaging, offers, content, campaigns, and activation plans.
• Support measurable business outcomes tied to awareness, pipeline, adoption, expansion, and revenue growth.

Competitive & Market Intelligence

• Monitor market dynamics, buyer trends, analyst insight, competitive activity, and customer feedback.
• Synthesize insights into positioning, sales guidance, competitive content, and strategic recommendations.
• Help strengthen BMC's differentiation and category leadership across priority markets.

Content, Thought Leadership & Enablement

• Create and support thought leadership, sales enablement, campaign content, customer stories, presentations, and field-facing assets.
• Partner with subject matter experts to translate product expertise into market-ready stories and customer value.
• Support analyst relations, executive communications, and strategic content initiatives.

Cross-Functional Leadership & AI-Enabled Ways of Working

• Build strong partnerships across Product Management, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and executive stakeholders.
• Use influence, communication, and collaboration to drive alignment in fast-moving environments.
• Promote adoption of AI-enabled tools, workflows, prompts, agents, templates, and repeatable operating practices that improve Product Marketing effectiveness and scale.

• Strong alignment between product innovation, market narrative, content, campaigns, and sales activation.

• Increased competitive differentiation and stronger positioning in target markets.
• Thought leadership and customer proof that strengthen market credibility and influence.
• Improved speed, quality, consistency, and reuse through repeatable frameworks and AI-enabled ways of working.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in B2B enterprise technology Product Marketing, Solution Marketing, Product Management, or related go-to-market disciplines.
• Proven track record of developing messaging, positioning, launch strategies, thought leadership, competitive differentiation, and go-to-market programs that drive measurable business outcomes.
• Strong storyteller capable of translating complex technical concepts into compelling customer value and market narratives.
• Demonstrated success influencing across Product Management, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and executive stakeholders.
• Strong competitive and market acumen, with the ability to synthesize customer, analyst, and market signals into actionable recommendations.
• Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated experience applying AI-enabled tools and technologies to improve marketing workflows, insight generation, and go-to-market execution.
• Demonstrated ability to create clarity, momentum, and alignment in fast-moving environments where priorities, information, and requirements may evolve over time.
• Experience in automation, cloud, data, AI, or adjacent enterprise technology markets preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, technology, or related field (advanced degree a plus).

The annual base salary range represents the low and high end of the BMC salary range for this position. Actual salaries depend on a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training, licensure, and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.


The range listed is just one component of BMC's employee compensation package. Other rewards may include a variable plan and country specific benefits.

At BMC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at /near the top of the range. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $132,975 - $221,625
