Research Laboratory Technician

Shift Schedule Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM Role and Responsibilities Label, receive, and process samples (blood, urine, tissue, stool, etc.) for clinical trials per protocol guidelines, including logging samples in and out of the department. Request and receive tissue samples from outside pathology facilities. Send tissue blocks to a vendor for slides cutting and ship the slides to the study’s lab. Record all data in specified forms per clinical trial (paper and electronic) accurately and responsibly. Enter data into the departmental database. Recognize discrepancies in sample data and coordinate with clinical staff to correct them. Organize and store all reagents according to safety instructions. Maintain equipment and a clean, orderly lab environment. Restock lab consumables at the end of the day. Manage inventory of clinical trial supplies, kits, and departmental supplies. Ship or store samples as per protocol before the shift ends. Prepare all collection tubes and aliquots for the next day’s clinic with accuracy and responsibility. Perform administrative functions including filing, scanning, copying, and emailing work documents. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications and Education Requirements Lab Assistant training or associate degree in the Sciences, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Preferred Skills IATA Dangerous Goods handling – training can be provided after hire. Prior lab experience including sample processing and shipping. Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, and databases. Compensation The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $41,400.00 - $86,100.00. Actual pay may vary based on qualifications, location, and schedule. Incentive plans, bonuses, and other compensation may be offered along with benefits.
