Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab/EP

Job Description

Job Summary:
The Cardiac Cath Lab/EP Registered Nurse provides specialized nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterizations, electrophysiology procedures, and other intervention. The role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and efficient patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient condition and obtain medical histories prior to procedures.
• Prepare patients and equipment, ensuring adherence to sterile protocols.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses during procedures.
• Assist physicians with catheterizations and electrophysiology interventions.
• Document procedures, patient information, and post-procedure care in electronic health records.
• Provide patient education regarding post-procedure care and discharge instructions.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active SC or Compact RN license prior to start date.
• Possess at least 2 years of relevant cath lab/EP nursing experience.
• Maintain current BLS and ACLS certification.
• Have radiation badge certification, with badge provided by the agency.
• Demonstrate proficiency in EP/cardiac catheterization procedures and protocols.
• Be able to work rotating day shifts with flexibility for schedule changes.
