Director of Creator Marketing

burnd is hiring a Director of Creator Marketing to build, own, and scale our creator program end-to-end across TikTok and Meta - from creator sourcing and onboarding through content production, organic distribution, performance analysis, and paid amplification. This is a full-time, remote U.S. role with significant ownership, combining competitive cash compensation with meaningful equity.

This is a hands-on builder role with significant ownership. You will create the systems, recruit and manage creators, write briefs, oversee content production, identify winning creative, and build the feedback loop between creator content and paid performance.

We're looking for someone who has already built a creator program at a fast-growing consumer brand and knows how to turn creators into a repeatable growth channel - not just an influencer marketing program.

burnd is a fast-growing, science-driven sunscreen and skincare company. In our first year, we grew to more than $1.5M in revenue and 30,000+ orders while building rapidly growing DTC and Amazon businesses.

Our founding team includes the inventor of transparent zinc oxide and a multiple-time founder with multiple exits, a founding employee and former CMO at Birddogs, and a multiple-time founder with a background in operations, logistics, and software engineering. We're still early, growing quickly, and building what we believe can become a category-defining sun care company.

What You'll Own

• Build and scale burnd's creator program across TikTok and Meta from an early-stage operation into a mature, repeatable pipeline.
• Recruit, onboard, and manage creators - including outreach, briefing, content production, posting, usage rights, performance, and payouts.
• Build strong relationships with top-performing creators and develop the best partners into long-term, recurring relationships with burnd.
• Write product and conversion-focused briefs for static and video content.
• Ensure creator content is reviewed, tagged, published correctly, and available for amplification through Meta Partnership Ads and TikTok.
• Own the feedback loop between creator content and paid performance - identifying winning creators, hooks, concepts, and formats and translating those learnings into what gets produced next.
• Track competitor and category creative and turn emerging formats, hooks, and trends into actionable creator programming.
• Provide hands-on support for burnd's organic TikTok strategy and posting cadence.
• Build the operational systems required to manage hundreds of creators without creating bottlenecks.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of relevant experience across creator marketing, performance creative, Meta, and TikTok, with demonstrated experience building and scaling creator programs.
• Proven track record of building and scaling a creator program from an early stage to thousands of creators at a small-to-mid-sized brand.
• Experience writing product and conversion-focused briefs for both static and video content.
• Working knowledge of Motion or a comparable tool for competitor and creative research.
• Working knowledge of Superfiliate or a comparable tool for finding, onboarding and scaling affiliate networks.
• Strong understanding of what converts through Meta Partnership Ads versus organic TikTok and TikTok Shop / GMV campaigns.
• Comfortable operating as a hands-on builder who can create the strategy and execute it without significant oversight.

What Success Looks Like

You will have built a scalable creator engine that consistently finds and activates high-quality creators, produces a growing volume of strong content, develops top creators into long-term burnd partners, and generates new winning creative for paid acquisition. More importantly, creator performance will directly inform who we work with, what we brief, and what we produce next - creating a compounding feedback loop between creators, content, and growth.

Compensation

The expected base salary range for this role is $90,000-$135,000 , plus meaningful equity in burnd. xuwmhxw Compensation will be based on the candidate’s track record, depth of experience building and scaling creator programs, and the scope of responsibility they are equipped to own.

For an exceptional candidate with significantly greater experience or the ability to take on a broader leadership mandate, we are open to evaluating a more senior compensation package on a case-by-case basis.
