Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse- $2290 per week.

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.

• Travel experience is required.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

• Trauma Level 1 experience is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Illinois license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - OSF HealthCare and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - OSF HealthCare.

Required Skills/Experience: - Prior experience working on a dedicated neuro unit. - Heparin gtt experience.

Special Requests: - Will block if it is possible with staffing.

Unit Details: - Neuro Med-Surg acute unit caring for stroke, spine surgery, seizure, brain tumor, head injury, and other neuroscience patients, with some medical overflow. - Nurse-patient ratios: day shift 1:4-5, nights 1:5-6. - RNs titrate drips; heparin titrated drips are based on PTT. - Nurses do not read their own telemetry strips; Phillips monitors are used. - High flow for stable COVID patients only. - Charge nurse and house supervisor available 24/7; charge nurse takes an assignment only if short staffed and ratios would otherwise be exceeded.

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend; Saturday and Sunday are considered the weekend on both shifts. - Every other holiday. - No call.

Floating Requirements: - Float in rotation with staff. General unit travelers float to general unit floors and take a full team. If floated outside the general unit for urgent need, assignments are limited to skills the clinician is competent to perform and paired with a nurse trained for that particular unit.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 12 months
