Position Summary

We are working with a large privately held organization who is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead accounting and reporting activities related to inventory, fixed assets, and lease accounting. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial reporting, ensuring compliance with internal controls, supporting external audits, and driving efficient close processes. The Accounting Manager will serve as a key business partner across multiple departments while leading a small offshore accounting team.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting and reporting for inventory, fixed assets, and lease accounting.
• Review reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of outstanding issues.
• Manage inventory reserves, adjustments, write-offs, and related accounting activities.
• Oversee capitalization, depreciation, impairments, and disposals for fixed assets.
• Lead accounting for right-of-use assets and lease liabilities.
• Partner with operations, finance, and other business leaders to support accurate reporting and forecasting.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities for assigned areas.
• Maintain strong internal controls and support external audit requirements.
• Identify process improvement opportunities, with a focus on automation and scalability.
• Lead, mentor, and develop offshore accounting team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally a blend of public and industry accounting.
• Strong experience with inventory and fixed asset accounting.
• Lease accounting experience preferred.
• Prior leadership experience, including managing offshore or shared service resources, preferred.
• Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal control frameworks.
• Experience working in a complex ERP environment.
• CPA highly preferred but not required.
