Payroll & Benefits Specialist (Temp-To-Hire) Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Specialist to assist their team. Location: Orange County, CA. Contract to Hire. Expected starting pay rate: $30.00 to $38.00 per hour. Job Responsibilities: Process payroll accurately by auditing data, reconciling balances, and ensuring timely payment completion. Maintain employee records including updates for new hires and tax‑related information within payroll systems. Review and manage payroll deductions, earnings, and adjustments to ensure compliance and accuracy. Support financial reporting by providing payroll data for accruals, reconciliations, and close activities. Administer benefit programs by managing enrollments, responding to inquiries, and coordinating annual processes. Requirements: 5+ years of payroll and benefits experience supporting multi‑location employees. Hands‑on experience with payroll systems and recent payroll processing responsibilities. Advanced proficiency in Excel and standard office tools. Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, tax requirements, and compliance standards. Clear communication, ability to manage multiple priorities, and maintain confidentiality. Qualifications: Analyze payroll data and respond to inquiries, audits, and reporting requirements with accuracy. Collaborate with accounting and human resources teams to ensure data integrity and process alignment. Improve workflows by identifying efficiencies in payroll, benefits, and reporting processes. Maintain a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and reliability in daily work.
