Job Family:Business Systems AnalysisTravel Required:Up to 10%Clearance Required:Ability to Obtain Public TrustWhat You Will Do:Guidehouse is seeking a Business Analyst to support Agile software development projects for federal and commercial clients in the Health industry. This role is ideal for a seasoned analyst who can independently lead requirements activities, partner closely with technical and business leadership, and contribute to overall delivery success.As a Business Analyst, you will serve as a trusted advisor to clients and internal teams, owning complex requirement efforts and helping shape scalable, high-quality software solutions in an Agile environment.Key responsibilities include:Lead requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation, and validation efforts for Agile software development initiativesTranslate complex business needs into clear, testable user stories, epics, features, and acceptance criteriaPartner with Product Owners to manage, prioritize, and refine the product backlogAct as a primary liaison between client stakeholders and technical delivery teamsFacilitate Agile ceremonies, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectivesDefine and document functional and non-functional requirements (e.g., security, performance, integration, scalability)Support solution design discussions by providing business and system-level insightsIdentify and manage requirements-related risks, dependencies, assumptions, and impactsSupport testing, defect triage, and user acceptance activities to ensure solutions meet business intentContribute to project planning, estimation, and delivery reporting as neededMentor junior analysts and contribute to team knowledge sharing and best practicesWhat You Will Need:US Citizenship or a Green card is required and Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DHS "PUBLIC TRUSTA bachelor’s degree is requiredFIVE (5) years or more years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting software development projectsDemonstrated experience working in Agile/Scrum environmentsExperience translating business needs into technical artifacts (user stories, workflows, data requirements, APIs)Experience defining, prioritizing, and delivering data‑driven product capabilities leveraging modern cloud data platforms such as Snowflake and/or DatabricksMust be willing to work TWO (2) days ONSITE- HybridWhat Would Be Nice to Have:Experience supporting federal government clients or highly regulated environmentsStrong ability to independently lead requirements efforts with minimal oversightProficiency with Agile and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similarKnowledge of Health industry related software needs and acumenStrong stakeholder management, facilitation, and communication skillsAbility to manage competing priorities across multiple workstreamsFamiliarity with modern software architectures (cloud-native, microservices, APIs)Familiarity with data exchange standards such as HL7 v2.5, CDA and FHIRExperience collaborating with UX/UI designers and applying design thinking practicesAgile or business analysis certifications (CSPO, CSM, PMI-PBA, SAFe, or similar)Experience contributing to proposals, SOWs, or client-facing deliverablesThe annual salary range for this position is $89,000.00-$148,000.00.
