Job Title: Buyer

Job Description

The Buyer is responsible for sourcing raw materials, components, and equipment at the best total cost while ensuring quality and on-time delivery. This role works cross-functionally with engineering, project teams, and suppliers to support development and production, with a strong focus on supplier management and cost negotiation.

Responsibilities

• Procure materials and equipment to meet cost, quality, and delivery goals
• Collaborate with engineering and project teams to support requirements
• Act as liaison between suppliers and internal teams
• Manage RFQs, analyze quotes, and negotiate pricing
• Evaluate supplier performance and drive cost reduction initiatives
• Issue and manage Purchase Orders (POs) and track open orders
• Support new product development and ensure timeline adherence
• Resolve supplier quality issues and coordinate deliveries

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of purchasing/procurement experience (manufacturing or automotive preferred)
• Strong negotiation, supplier management, and cost analysis skills
• Experience with RFQs, POs, and technical requirements
• SAP proficiency required; strong Microsoft Office skills
• Strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field
• Industry experience in Power Sports or automotive preferred
• Strong communication and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Willingness to travel occasionally and work flexible hours

Work Environment

This is an office-based role in an open office setting at an Auto Development Center, requiring regular collaboration with internal teams and suppliers. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility. Occasional travel and overtime may be required.

This is a Contract position based out of Raymond, OH.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $48.00/hr.

This is a hybrid position in Raymond,OH.
