Meador an Openwork Company is currently engaged in a search to find a directhire AP Clerk for a company located in the South Houston (77587) area. The Accounts Payable Specialist is an execution-focused role and is expected to follow established AP procedures, escalate exceptions, support documentation, and develop practical AP experience over time.

As the AP Clerk you will:
  • Process daily AP activities, including invoice entry, coding, documentation review, approvals, and payment preparation in Sage 50.
  • Review and match invoices to purchase orders, receipts, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and policy compliance.
  • Prepare weekly payment runs and check requests while responding to vendor and internal inquiries regarding payments and discrepancies.
  • Reconcile vendor statements, research discrepancies, and assist with cleanup of aged payables, duplicate invoices, missing documentation, and unapplied credits.
  • Support month-end close activities, including AP aging reviews, accruals, vendor reconciliations, and unprocessed invoice follow-up.
  • Maintain organized, audit-ready AP records and procedures while supporting the Epicor implementation, acquisitions, special projects, and other accounting needs.
What youll need:
  • 3 years of AP experience REQUIRED
