Key Qualifications:

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Experience as a Sign Language Interpreter, preferably in an educational setting
• Provisional license applicants welcome (EIPA score under 4.0 accepted)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Commitment to professional integrity and confidentiality
• Ability to adapt to a high school caseload and dynamic classroom environments

Primary Responsibilities:

• Facilitate clear communication between students, staff, and peers through ASL interpretation
• Support students during classroom instruction, activities, and school functions
• Prepare for scheduled classes, maintaining knowledge of course material and terminology
• Collaborate with educators to ensure students’ unique learning needs are met
• Adhere to all district and professional standards of conduct and ethics
• Maintain accurate documentation as required
