Step into a vital onsite role supporting high school students through your skills as a Sign Language Interpreter. This contract position begins on August 12, 2026, and extends through May 20, 2027. Work within a dynamic environment, fostering access and inclusivity, with a daily schedule from 8:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) suitable for high school classroom and student engagement
• Ability to interpret spoken language clearly and accurately for students in a school setting
• EIPA score of 4.0 or higher is preferred; provisional licensure accepted if EIPA is under 4.0
• Previous experience interpreting in educational settings or with adolescents is highly valued
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with educational staff, students, and families

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide real-time interpretation for classroom instruction, discussions, and activities
• Ensure clear, accurate communication between students who are deaf or hard of hearing and the school community
• Adapt interpreting techniques to individual student needs and varied instructional styles
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
• Support student participation and success in academic and extracurricular settings
• Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure a fully accessible educational experience
