Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through virtual consultations, meticulously documenting progress from the initial assessment to treatment conclusion.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment and recovery plans tailored to the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing therapeutic techniques that promote engagement and healing.
\n
• Consistently monitor clients’ progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including medical professionals such as psychiatrists and primary care physicians, to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.

• Identify and address behaviors that may hinder recovery, equipping clients with tools and strategies to overcome barriers.
\n
• Provide guidance and support to family members and caregivers navigating mental health challenges, fostering a holistic approach to wellness.

• Manage client referrals to additional mental health resources or services when appropriate.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The mental health counselor will serve a diverse clientele, ranging from individuals facing anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, to families navigating relational challenges. Our telehealth model allows us to reach underserved populations across Nevada, ensuring that quality mental health care is accessible to all. Counselors will be pivotal in advocating for clients and promoting resilience in their therapeutic journeys.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Nevada.
\n
• Passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Demonstrated experience in a mental health counseling role, showcasing knowledge of therapeutic interventions and client management.
\n
• Proficient in using electronic health record systems, preferably AVATAR, to maintain accurate and confidential client documentation.
\n
• Familiarity with the best practices set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with an empathetic nature that fosters trust and rapport with clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with clients with co-occurring disorders, including addiction issues and various emotional health conditions.

• In-depth understanding of the pharmacological effects of medications prescribed by healthcare providers.
