You will employ electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, for seamless documentation and client management, ensuring a streamlined approach to care delivery. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments through initial consultations and create thorough documentation throughout the treatment process.

• Evaluate clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional health to determine their needs and strengths.
\n
• Develop tailored treatment plans that include psychoeducation, crisis intervention, and therapeutic modalities suited for individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions that align with best practices of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Continuously monitor clients’ progress, adapting treatment plans as necessary to promote optimal recovery outcomes.
\n
• Coordinate care by collaborating with other healthcare professionals including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers to enhance the holistic treatment approach.
\n
• Follow up on client progress and needs, particularly for those referrals that involve hospitalization or other intensive interventions.
\n
• Assist families and primary caregivers in supporting clients through challenges related to mental health and behavioral disorders.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a diverse range of clients experiencing various mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction disorders. The focus is on providing culturally competent care that respects and addresses the unique needs of individuals from various backgrounds. You will collaborate closely with clients to empower them in their journey towards recovery, fostering an environment of safety, trust, and respect.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current active licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Nevada.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Exam (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

Preferred Experience\n

• Significant prior experience as a mental health counselor, with a proven track record of effective therapy delivery.

• Familiarity with electronic health record management systems, especially AVATAR or similar platforms.

• Experience addressing co-occurring physical health issues and substance use disorders.

• In-depth understanding of psychotropic drugs prescribed by medical specialists, and their implications on mental health.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
