Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the needs, challenges, and goals of individuals in treatment for substance use disorders.

• Craft personalized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapeutic interventions focused on promoting recovery.

• Facilitate individual counseling sessions using therapeutic techniques such as motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy to foster positive behavioral changes.

• Lead group therapy sessions encouraging mutual support among participants and enhancing their recovery journey through shared experiences.

• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and addiction specialists, to ensure comprehensive and integrated patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention support to individuals experiencing acute substance-related crises, offering immediate assistance when needed.

• Educate patients and their families on addiction recovery processes, coping strategies, and available community resources to enhance their support system.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily focuses on individuals struggling with substance use disorders. Your role will not only involve direct patient interaction but also support their families, ensuring a holistic approach to addiction treatment. Given the diverse backgrounds of our patients in the Reno area and beyond, cultural competency will be essential in understanding and addressing their unique needs.

Qualifications\n

• A valid state license as a Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LCPC, LCSW).

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in counseling, social work, or a related field.

• Strong understanding of substance use disorders, evidence-based treatment modalities, and recovery-oriented care.

• Proven experience providing both individual and group therapy in an addiction treatment context.

Compensation and Benefits\n
