Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive intake assessments to evaluate clients' mental health needs and create customized treatment plans that target their specific goals.

• Facilitate engaging one-on-one therapy sessions as well as group therapy sessions focusing on issues like anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship dynamics, and more.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including psychologists, social workers, and medical professionals, ensuring a holistic approach to client care and effective support.

• Actively participate in professional development and continuing education opportunities to stay informed about the latest methodologies and interventions in mental health.

• Provide valuable input and innovative ideas for enhancing service delivery and increasing the effectiveness of our mental health programs.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with a diverse population, including individuals struggling with emotional and psychological challenges ranging from mild stressors to severe mental health disorders. Clients may include children, adolescents, adults, and families from various backgrounds, necessitating a culturally sensitive and adaptable therapeutic approach.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution is required.

• Current licensing as a Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LMHC, or LCSW) in New York State is essential.

• A minimum of two years of experience in providing mental health counseling or therapy to individuals experiencing a range of emotional challenges.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with clients quickly and effectively.

• Familiarity with electronic medical records systems is highly preferred, although not mandatory.
