Associate Attorney - Public Sector Labor

Job Overview A law firm seeks an ambitious attorney with one to three years of experience for an Associate position in Albany, New York. The role involves representing law enforcement unions in various public sector labor matters, including disciplinary and contract grievances, administrative hearings, and litigation in state and federal courts. Duties Represent clients in disciplinary and contract grievances. Conduct administrative hearings and membership interrogations. Handle improper practice proceedings before PERB. Support collective bargaining and contract negotiations. Litigate cases in state and federal courts. Requirements New York bar license required. Experience in administrative hearings or comparable court proceedings preferred. Background in representing labor unions preferred. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree. Certifications Licensed to practice law in New York. Skills Excellent legal advocacy skills. Strong analytical abilities. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Self-starter with the ability for direct client contact.
