This contract opportunity near Dearborn, MI, gives you the chance to apply your expertise in cognitive testing across multiple schools, offering the variety and impact that education professionals value.
You’ll collaborate with faculty and staff while conducting assessments tailored to the age range and needs of each building you support. This district prioritizes psychological testing over counseling, letting you focus your skills where they’re most needed.
Key Qualifications:
- Master's or Specialist degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience with cognitive, academic, and behavioral assessment tools
- Strong organizational and communication abilities
- Ability to work independently across 2-3 school buildings each week
- Commitment to excellence in supporting diverse student populations
Responsibilities:
- Conduct cognitive and educational evaluations for students in accordance with district and state guidelines
- Collaborate with educational teams to interpret testing data and develop recommendations
- Prepare thorough and timely assessment reports
- Attend eligibility, IEP, and multidisciplinary meetings as needed
- Travel between assigned school buildings within the district
- Serve as a resource for staff on psychoeducational evaluation procedures
