A growing organization is seeking a Customer Service & Collections Specialist to support business-to-business accounts in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This role combines customer service, account management, and collections responsibilities with a strong emphasis on outbound and inbound phone communication. The ideal candidate is professional, persistent, customer-focused, and comfortable handling a large volume of daily calls while maintaining positive client relationships. This position is temp to hire and will pay between $19 and $22/hr. depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of commercial customer accounts and maintain regular communication regarding account status.
• Conduct high-volume outbound collection calls and handle inbound customer inquiries throughout the day.
• Follow up on past-due invoices and negotiate payment arrangements when appropriate.
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies, payment issues, and account concerns.
• Provide outstanding customer service while maintaining a professional and solution-oriented approach.
• Document account activity, collection efforts, and customer interactions within company systems.
• Collaborate with internal departments to address customer questions and expedite issue resolution.
• Process customer payments and update account records accurately.
• Review aging reports and prioritize collection activities to improve cash flow.
• Monitor customer accounts for payment trends and potential credit concerns.
• Meet individual productivity, call volume, and collection performance goals.
• Maintain compliance with company policies and established collection procedures.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, collections, accounts receivable, or a related business-to-business environment.
• Strong phone presence with the ability to make and receive a high volume of calls daily.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to build relationships while effectively collecting past-due balances.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and customer account management systems.
