Operations CoordinatorThe Operations Coordinator is responsible for providing operations support to management in various areas including reporting, inventory, scheduling and quality control. Hours: 7am - 4pm Compensation: $24 - $27/hr + incentive eligibleA. M. Castle & Co. has over 135 years of experience as a leader in the metals service center industry. We provide exceptional benefits including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, 401K match, disability benefits and tuition reimbursement.Essential Primary Responsibilities:Maintains various reports to keep management aware of potential trends, shortages, back orders and order status.Communicates purchasing requirements for the production schedule to the procurement.Coordinates all schedules, lead times and expedites with planners and sales as needed.Supports inventory reconciliation and control.Responds to service requests from sales department.Verifies correct location of inventory in rack system and floor.Assists in training new employees as requested.Performs other related work as assigned.Physical Demands/Working Conditions:General office environment, PC useMinimum Qualifications:One year of administrative experienceExcellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and OutlookExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAdvanced math skillsStrong analytical abilities and organization skillsAbility to solve problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization existsAbility to work effectively with other functional areas in order to improve service levels, resolve service problems, and reduce costs/improve efficienciesRequired Education:High School diploma or equivalentPreferred Qualifications:College level coursework with an emphasis on businessThree years of experience in production scheduling, inventory or other related areas in an automated distribution environmentStrong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to initiate and sustain productive business relationshipsWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer.Company Overview: Founded in 1890, A.
