RN - MedSurg/Tele | Travel | Charlotte, NC Assignment Overview

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a MedSurg/Telemetry position. The ideal candidate will have 18 months of Med/Tele RN experience. This role is part of a resource team providing crucial support across different units, handling a diverse range of patient diagnoses and medical interventions.

Assignment Details

• Work Modality: On-site
• Floating within the region may be required
• Weekend rotation: Every other weekend
• Holiday expectations: Will work 75% of holidays

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care in Med/Tele units
• Manage various patient conditions such as CHF, COPD, and general post-op care
• Perform cardiac rhythm interpretation and stroke care
• Administer medications, including cardiac drips and blood products
• Perform procedures such as trach care, PIV starts, chest tube management, and drain/tube management
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and care quality

Qualifications

Required:

• 18 months Med/Tele RN experience
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
• Experience with cardiac rhythm interpretation and stroke care
• Proficiency with Epic EMR
• Ability to manage cardiac drips, Heparin, blood products, and IVF

Preferred:

• Not preferred but will consider first-time travelers
