Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to identify patients' unique experiences and challenges, facilitating the development of personalized treatment plans.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions rooted in best practices, while adapting them to reflect the individual cultural and contextual backgrounds of our patients.

• Engage in collaborative care with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other health professionals, ensuring a unified approach to patient therapy and treatment.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and emotional support during mental health emergencies, adeptly navigating each situation with professionalism and care.

• Educate patients and their families on mental health issues, available treatment options, and community resources that support their ongoing mental health journey.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record systems effectively.

• Actively participate in team meetings, case conferences, and training sessions focused on cultural competency and professional development.

• Stay updated on current mental health research and best practices, ensuring therapy techniques remain relevant and effective.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required; a Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, or Psychology is highly preferred.

• Current licensure to practice as a Mental Health Counselor or Therapist in the state of Kansas.

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience related to culturally competent practices in mental health therapy.

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with an ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Compensation and Benefits\n
