Make a meaningful impact in the lives of young learners as an onsite Speech Language Pathologist for a contract opportunity located near Lenexa, KS. Work within elementary settings, collaborating with educators and families to support students from early childhood through fourth grade. With a manageable caseload across one to two schools and a welcoming staff environment, your expertise will be valued and your contributions will help children develop essential communication skills.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Valid Kansas SLP license (or eligibility)
- Previous experience working in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services to a diverse roster of 50-60 students, ages EC-4
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in partnership with the multidisciplinary team
- Assess students’ communication abilities and determine appropriate goals and objectives
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Offer consultation and support to teachers and families, promoting optimal student outcomes
- Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal requirements
