Step into a rewarding contract position serving students in the Lenexa, KS area as a school-based Occupational Therapist. Work with a diverse caseload of 50-60 students across several sites, including Camber, Bridges Academy, New Chelsea Elementary, Emerson Elementary, and Welborn Elementary. This opportunity allows you to design your own daily schedule, typically visiting 1-3 schools per day based on student needs and your preference.

Your expertise will be vital in empowering students to reach their potential, collaborating with educators, and supporting IEP implementation from now through May 2027.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Kansas Occupational Therapy license (KS OT required)
• Experience in school-based or pediatric settings strongly preferred
• Solid understanding of developing and implementing IEP goals
• Proficient in conducting evaluations, writing reports, and providing direct/consultative OT services in schools
• Exceptional communication, organization, and time management skills
• Ability to work independently while maintaining collaborative, professional relationships

Responsibilities:

• Conduct OT evaluations and re-evaluations for students
• Develop and monitor individualized therapy plans and documentation
• Deliver direct and consultative OT services to support student learning and participation
• Attend IEP, eligibility, and staffing meetings as required
• Travel between multiple school sites each week (typically 1-3 per day, schedule is flexible)
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and family members to ensure students’ progress
