Medica is seeking an Actuarial Analyst to join our Actuarial Services team in Minnetonka, MN. This role provides analytical support in the areas of pricing, forecasting, reserving, and financial reporting. Performs other duties as assigned.Key AccountabilitiesAssist in the preparation of financial models, pricing structures, and reserve estimates to support business decisionsPerform data analysis and validation using actuarial and statistical techniquesContribute to the development of reports, exhibits, and presentations for leadership and regulatory bodiesSupport actuarial projects related to product development, trend analysis, and risk managementEnsure accuracy and compliance with actuarial standards, regulatory requirements, and Medica policiesCollaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance, Underwriting, and Product DevelopmentContinue professional development through actuarial exams and on-the-job learningRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or related field0-1 years of experience beyond degreeSuccessful completion of 1 Society of Actuaries (SOA) examsPreferred QualificationsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skillsProficiency with Microsoft Excel; experience with SQL, SAS, R, or Python is a plusExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a collaborative teamThis position is an Office role, which requires an employee to work onsite, on average, 3 days per week. We are open to candidates located near one of the following office locations: Minnetonka, MN, Madison, MN, or St. Louis, MO.The full salary grade for this position is $70,200 - $120,400. While the full salary grade is provided, the typical hiring salary range for this role is expected to be between $70,200 - $105,315. Annual salary range placement will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, applicable certifications and/or licensure, the position's scope and responsibility, internal pay equity and external market salary data.
