As a Security Officer Patrol Screening Console in Sunnyvale, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a dynamic retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming atmosphere through strong customer service and communication. You will be part of a caring, agile, and reliable team that values integrity, innovation, and teamwork while helping create a positive experience for everyone on site.

- Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a retail location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor, common areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
- Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and assist with enforcing location rules, closing procedures, and other assigned security-related duties as directed by site leadership.
- Support loss prevention awareness by reporting suspicious behavior, unattended items, hazardous conditions, and/or policy violations while maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- X-ray screening experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
