US - Sr Engineering Technician

Engineering Technician | Clearwater, FL Our client, a leading aerospace and defense technology organization , is seeking a Engineering Technician to join their team. You will be part of the Engineering/Test Operations department supporting cross-functional engineering and test teams. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Engineering Technician Location: Clearwater, FL Pay Range: $28.85/hr | 2nd Shift What’s the Job? Perform hands-on testing, troubleshooting, and fault isolation of advanced electronic assemblies for space and defense applications. Execute dynamic, thermal, functional, and environmental testing using specialized test equipment and Acceptance Test Procedures. Set up, program, and operate electronic test equipment including oscilloscopes, function generators, power supplies, DMMs, and logic analyzers. Maintain detailed test logs, follow precise procedures, and communicate daily shift pass-down information both verbally and in writing. Support lab maintenance, safety initiatives, standardization efforts, and continuous improvement activities while collaborating closely with technicians and engineers. ✅ What’s Needed? Associate degree, technical degree, equivalent military training, or related hands-on experience in electronics. Minimum of 4 years of experience in an electronics or engineering technician discipline. Experience reading schematics, troubleshooting electronic systems, and working with general-purpose electronic test equipment. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow step-by-step procedures and generate accurate technical documentation. Must be a U.S. Citizen and willing to work flexible schedules, including weekends, overtime, and temporary shift changes for training or business needs. Preferred Qualifications Prior military experience (USAF/USN) is a plus. Experience with Guidance & Navigation Electronics systems is preferred. Environmental testing experience is a plus.
