Preconstruction Coordinator

This role is critical to keeping projects moving from budgeting and bidding through permitting and inspections.The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced construction environment.


Responsibilities

• Solicit and manage subcontractor and supplier bids
• Level and analyze proposals to help harden project budgets
• Assist with estimating and all phases of preconstruction
• Maintain bid packages, scopes, and project documentation
• Coordinate permitting processes with municipalities and agencies
• Submit permit applications and process permit payments
• Schedule and coordinate inspections
• Track permit status and maintain compliance records
• Communicate with project managers, subcontractors, vendors, and local officials
• Support the team with administrative and operational preconstruction tasks as needed

• Experience in construction preconstruction, estimating, permitting, or project coordination
• Strong understanding of construction processes and subcontractor bidding
• Experience working with permits, inspections, and municipal requirements
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction management software
• Excellent communication and follow-up skills

• Experience with residential construction a must
• Familiarity with budgeting and cost tracking
• Knowledge of local permitting procedures
