Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and create tailored treatment plans that respond to both immediate and long-term mental health needs of clients.

• Facilitate consultations, providing guidance on pre-crisis and crisis management strategies, including behavioral guidelines, risk assessments, and medication treatment plans.

• Document all client interactions timely and efficiently, adhering to regulatory standards and ensuring compliance with clinic policies.

• Employ evidence-based screening tools as defined by the clinical team to ensure accurate diagnostics and effective intervention strategies.

• Collaborate proactively with interdisciplinary teams to design and implement positive behavior support plans that reflect best practices.

• Actively engage in licensing and accreditation processes, ensuring the clinic meets all relevant health service regulations.

• Serve as an advocate and liaison for clients, connecting them to necessary state services, community resources, and relevant service systems.

• Maintain open communication with internal teams and community partners to promote the agency's mission and cohesively foster client success.

• Establish and nurture relationships with local, state, and federal agencies to further program accessibility and identify collaborative opportunities.

• Invest in professional development by participating in workshops, conferences, and other educational opportunities relevant to mental health counseling.

• Champion the agency’s vision and values through community outreach and represent the organization at public forums and meetings.

• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Clinic Director to support operational goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role will primarily involve working with diverse populations making strides towards emotional and mental wellness. Clients may include individuals contending with substance use challenges, developmental disabilities, or recovery from brain injuries. • A valid and independent LMHC license in the state of Kansas is necessary to start; we are willing to cover licensing costs for counselors licensed in other states who meet our qualifications.
