About the Position

Job Title: CT Technologist Profession: Allied Health Specialty: CT Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Weekend Overnights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years License: NYS CT Tech License required Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association) required Must-Have: - Level 1 Trauma Center Experience - Siemens Scanner Experience (6 months) - Telemetry Description: Confirm patient identity and examination verification prior to initiating the scan. Strictly adhere to department policy and procedure for patient safety. Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging. Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable. Insert IVs when necessary for the test. Position patients accordingly, which may include lifting or moving patients with limited mobility; utilizing safe patient handling techniques. Maintain accurate patient record-keeping by properly documenting all necessary components within the electronic record system. Ensure identifying images are sent to the image archive system correctly upon exam completion. Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility. Effective written and verbal communication skills are essential. Exhibit a patient and compassionate disposition. Ability to work well within a team to maintain a cohesive working environment.
