Work Environment\n

As an LMFT at our organization, you will enjoy a hybrid work setting that encourages both remote interaction and in-office collaboration. Our outpatient facility in Elizabeth provides a welcoming space for client meetings when needed, complemented by the convenience of telehealth options when appropriate. With a schedule of Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., you will have structured hours that promote both work-life balance and optimal client care.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients presenting with mood disorders, noting the intensity and frequency of symptoms through interviews and standardized evaluation tools.

• Collaborate with clients to develop customized, evidence-based treatment plans, integrating therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to address individual needs.

• Facilitate group therapy sessions and support discussions for individuals impacted by issues such as homelessness, domestic violence, or refugee status, creating a safe space for shared experiences.

• Continuously monitor client progress, adapting treatment plans and interventions as necessary based on regular evaluations and feedback.

• Work within a multidisciplinary team, liaising with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and comprehensive care for clients.

• Stay updated on emerging research in mental health treatment to enhance therapeutic practices and address the evolving needs of clients.

• Maintain meticulous documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring client confidentiality and integrity in all record-keeping practices.

• Engage in regular professional development through case consultations and team meetings, striving for continuous improvement in therapeutic approaches.

• Advocate for mental health awareness and destigmatization within the community, supporting clients in articulating their needs and accessing necessary resources.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our practice primarily serves individuals navigating mood disorders including, but not limited to, depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. We also focus on vulnerable populations such as survivors of domestic violence, refugees adjusting to new lives, and individuals facing homelessness. Your role as an LMFT will be critical in providing empathetic and skilled support to help these clients overcome their challenges and improve their overall well-being.

Qualifications\n

• Possess a current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• Hold a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Our compensation package includes a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 90,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
