Work Environment

This position is primarily an onsite role where therapists will work directly in the homes of patients. The home care environment provides an intimate setting for therapy, allowing therapists to assess and treat patients in their own living spaces. You'll enjoy the flexibility to choose your working hours during the week (Monday to Friday), promoting work-life balance while meeting patients where they feel most comfortable.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients in a home care setting, focusing on rehabilitation following injuries, surgeries, or medical conditions.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that utilize methods such as exercise, manual therapy, and assistive devices to enhance mobility and alleviate pain.
• Continuously monitor and document each patient's progress, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families about therapy techniques, self-care routines, and the proper use of assistive devices to empower them in their recovery process.
• Maintain professional knowledge by attending workshops, engaging in continued education, and staying current with industry literature.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient demographic, including children and adults with a variety of orthopedic conditions. The focus will be on helping individuals regain functional independence and improve their quality of life through targeted, effective therapeutic interventions tailored to their unique needs.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid State License to practice physical therapy.
• A minimum of two years of experience as a practicing Physical Therapist, preferably in an orthopedic or home care setting.
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members.
• Strong computer skills for documentation, scheduling, and patient management.
• Ability to adapt to changing environments and patient needs.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in home-based therapy services and familiarity with home care protocols.
• Knowledge of treatment modalities specific to orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Mentorship within the therapy department for new graduates, fostering a collaborative culture.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $120,000, commensurate with experience and expertise.
