The Department administers funds allocated under the federal Older Americans Act, the Older Californians Act, and through the Medi-Cal program. Recognizing that California's over-65 population is projected to grow to 8.6 million by 2030, Governor Gavin Newsom issued Executive Order N-14-19 calling for the creation of a Master Plan for Aging to be developed by December - 2020. The Master Plan will serve as a blueprint that can be used by state government, local communities, private organizations, and philanthropy to build environments that promote healthy aging. The Position is headquartered in Sacramento and required to be in office 5 days a week (Monday to Friday). Under the supervision of the Supervisor I of the Facilities and Business Services (FBS) unit in the Business Management Section (BMS), the Analyst I performs a variety of analytical and operational support functions for the CDA and California Commission on Aging (CCoA). The incumbent serves as the hands-on onsite coordinator for daily facility operations, space planning activities, conference room setups, and audiovisual technology troubleshooting. All duties are performed onsite at CDA Headquarters. The incumbent is responsible for research related to space management and recommendations to resolve facilities issues; and, the preparation, tracking, and of records and data.
