Description

• Assess patients in inpatient or outpatient settings and develop tailored treatment plans
• Implement physical therapy techniques aimed at improving mobility, strength, balance, and everyday function
• Work in tandem with nurses, physicians, case managers, and interdisciplinary rehab teams to enhance patient outcomes
• Guide patients and families on therapy goals, discharge processes, and at-home exercises
• Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, treatments, and patient progress in accordance with facility guidelines
• Engage in collaborative team rounds and case discussions to ensure seamless care

Education

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution

Certifications

• State licensure as a Physical Therapist
• CPR certification preferred
• Additional specialized certifications (e.g., neurological, geriatric) are advantageous but not mandatory

Skills

• Prior experience in physical therapy is highly preferred
