Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients.

• Collaborate with clients to develop individualized treatment plans that reflect their unique needs and therapeutic goals.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate effective treatment.

• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies through compassionate and supportive communication.

• Monitor client progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans based on ongoing assessments and feedback.

• Work alongside psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care for clients.

• Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in the treatment of mood disorders to enhance therapeutic practices.

• Maintain thorough, confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring client privacy and care quality.

• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and continuous professional development opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on clients dealing with mood disorders such as depression and anxiety, including underserved populations like the homeless, refugees, and victims of domestic abuse. You will be instrumental in providing support and treatment tailored to the unique challenges these individuals face, ensuring they have access to the mental health resources needed to reclaim their lives.

Qualifications\n

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is mandatory.

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy is required.
