Professional Education & Partnerships Manager - Miami, FL The University of East London (UEL) is expanding its global presence through the development of international hubs designed to strengthen employer engagement, professional education, alumni activity, and global partnerships.
A central part of UEL’s Vision 2028 strategy is its careers-first approach to education, connecting academic learning more directly with industry, workforce needs, and the jobs of the future. Through its Global Campus, UEL is continuing to expand its international footprint and develop relationships with employers, institutions, and partners around the world. The Professional Education & Partnerships Manager will take the lead on developing, promoting, and selling UEL’s Professional and Executive Education provision within the Miami hub’s region. The role will focus on building strong employer and corporate relationships, identifying workforce training needs, securing Professional and Executive Education contracts, and coordinating the development and delivery of high-quality short courses, micro-credentials, and stackable learning pathways supported by UEL’s academic Schools. This position combines business development, market intelligence, partnership building, marketing support, and operational coordination. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring UEL develops professional education offerings that are commercially viable, market-relevant, scalable, and responsive to regional employer demand. The Professional Education & Partnerships Manager will also serve as a central point of contact for Professional and Executive Education activity within the hub, ensuring a high-quality experience for learners, clients, corporate partners, and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
Professional & Executive Education Market Development & Sales
- Drive Professional and Executive Education business development activity across the region, working toward established revenue and growth targets.
- Identify emerging workforce trends, skills gaps, employer training needs, and commercial opportunities across key sectors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with employers, corporate partners, industry networks, sector bodies, and training organizations.
- Develop a strong regional pipeline of prospective corporate and employer partners.
- Manage prospects through the sales process and convert opportunities into contracted Professional and Executive Education programs.
- Develop tailored training proposals based on employer needs.
- Negotiate commercial terms and partnership arrangements.
- Engage senior executives, business leaders, HR and talent leaders, and other organizational decision-makers to identify opportunities for collaboration.
- Work closely with UEL Schools, academic teams, and subject-matter experts to design and adapt short courses, micro-credentials, executive education, and professional programs aligned with regional demand.
- Translate employer and market needs into potential education and training solutions.
- Support localization of programs and content where appropriate to meet regional, regulatory, or sector requirements.
- Maintain and coordinate a master schedule of Professional and Executive Education activity delivered through the Miami hub.
- Liaise with UK-based academic, quality, administrative, and operational teams to support effective program delivery and compliance.
- Help ensure new programs can be delivered efficiently while maintaining UEL’s academic and quality standards.
- Lead or support workforce development surveys, skills mapping, and market research activity across the region.
- Identify changing employer needs and emerging areas of workforce demand.
- Analyze market and employer data and present insights that can inform UEL’s Professional and Executive Education strategy.
- Monitor regional and global competitors within the professional learning, executive education, and continuing education markets.
- Identify opportunities for new courses, micro-credentials, partnerships, and areas of commercial growth based on market evidence.
- Provide insight into sectors and industries where UEL can establish a stronger professional education presence.
- Work collaboratively with UEL Marketing to develop appropriate promotional materials and campaigns for Professional and Executive Education offerings.
- Increase awareness of UEL’s professional education portfolio through digital channels, newsletters, corporate outreach, employer events, and strategic partnerships.
- Support campaigns designed to generate employer leads and individual learner enrollments.
- Represent UEL at conferences, industry forums, exhibitions, networking events, and professional associations.
- Build UEL’s visibility among corporate leaders, employers, industry organizations, and other influential stakeholders across the region.
- Support the organization and delivery of webinars, masterclasses, executive briefings, and corporate engagement events.
- Build long-term strategic relationships with employers and organizations investing in professional development, workforce development, and lifelong learning.
- Establish, develop, and maintain relationships with corporate partners, industry leaders, and key regional stakeholders.
- Develop an active network of corporate relationships that can generate Professional and Executive Education opportunities for UEL.
- Engage senior executives and organizational decision-makers to understand workforce challenges and identify areas where UEL can provide relevant training or education solutions.
- Leverage existing professional relationships and develop new connections that can create corporate partnerships, education contracts, business collaborations, recruitment opportunities, and other mutually beneficial initiatives.
- Serve as the primary relationship contact for Professional and Executive Education clients throughout the engagement lifecycle.
- Deliver a high level of client service and aftercare to encourage repeat business and long-term partnerships.
- Coordinate feedback from employers and participants to support continuous improvement.
- Represent UEL effectively in meetings with corporate partners, industry leaders, and external stakeholders.
- Support the implementation of efficient Professional and Executive Education workflows and processes within the Miami hub.
- Coordinate with UEL’s UK-based Finance, Registry, Quality Assurance, academic, and administrative teams.
- Support enrollment, registration, invoicing, reporting, and other operational requirements associated with professional education programs.
- Ensure appropriate course documentation, approvals, and operational requirements are completed prior to delivery.
- Support scheduling, logistics, communication, and participant coordination for Professional and Executive Education activity.
- Help establish processes that allow the professional education portfolio to scale as activity within the hub grows.
- Track key performance indicators including leads, conversions, enrollments, revenue, employer engagement, and satisfaction.
- Monitor the health and progression of the Professional and Executive Education sales pipeline.
- Provide regular performance updates and market insights to the Global Campus Director and UK leadership.
- Contribute to annual planning, forecasting, revenue targets, and growth objectives for the hub.
- Identify new delivery models, sectors, partnerships, and commercial strategies that could support continued growth.
- Identify opportunities to expand existing corporate relationships into additional programs or partnerships.
- Contribute ideas and market intelligence to the continued development of UEL’s Professional and Executive Education strategy across its Global Campus network.
Education & Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Background or professional development in business development, training, education management, executive education, workforce development, or a related area.
Required
- Experience selling, managing, developing, or coordinating Professional and Executive Education, Continuing Professional Development, short courses, executive education, or professional training programs.
- Proven employer engagement and business development experience.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and develop relationships with corporate partners, industry leaders, and key stakeholders.
- Experience engaging senior executives and organizational decision-makers.
- Strong professional network within the corporate, employer, or industry community, with demonstrated ability to leverage relationships to generate partnerships or business opportunities.
- Experience identifying skills gaps, workforce needs, or market opportunities.
- Experience conducting or contributing to market research.
- Experience establishing or operating processes supporting education or training delivery.
- Ability to develop opportunities from initial employer engagement through proposal development and commercial agreement.
- Experience within higher education, adult learning, executive education, continuing education, or professional training.
- Knowledge of micro-credentials, stackable qualifications, professional education, or lifelong learning models.
- Experience marketing or promoting education and training products.
- Experience developing corporate education or workforce-development partnerships.
- Experience working across geographically dispersed or international organizations.
