About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director, Philanthropy to lead the development and execution of a comprehensive fundraising strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving annual and long-term philanthropic goals, overseeing all fundraising programs, and leading a high-performing team. This role requires a proven ability to develop and execute successful fundraising strategies, exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills, and strong leadership to inspire and support the development team. The Executive Director will also be accountable for setting fundraising strategy, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and best practices. Applicants for the Executive Director, Philanthropy position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, with a Master's degree preferred, and at least 10 years' experience in fundraising, development, or a related field. A minimum of 5-7 years in a management or leadership role is required, with 3-5 years' experience in a healthcare environment preferred. The role demands a candidate with strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to analyze data and metrics, and a deep knowledge of fundraising best practices and ethical standards. The Executive Director will be the primary philanthropic ambassador for the hospital, engaging with donors, community organizations, and civic leaders, and must be adept at fostering a culture of philanthropy throughout the organization.
