ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Draft and review contracts, company policies on legal, compliance and risk management related matters.
- Provide legal opinion and attend to contentious matters.
- Offer legal advice on claim, compliance and sanction issues, work with relevant departments in formulating effective correction/prevention plans.
- Archive legal documentation.
- Work with external counsel on designated matters.
- Conduct internal compliance assessment on assigned regulatory compliance and risk management topics related to freight forwarding and logistics industry.
- Provide in-house training to employees on regulatory compliance and risk management issues and assist with development of training materials.
- Establishing key risk indicators (KRIs) to track risk exposure.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in risk management, business administration, law, or related field.
- Minimum 4-5 years of experience in compliance, operations, and/or legal.
- Excellent organization, analytical, and written and oral communication skills.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to multi-tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment, while exercising sound judgement.
- Candidate must be self-motivated, customer-service oriented, and eager to ensure the success of the team.
- Ability to function independently, with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
