Team Lead - Permanent Recruitment

Location: Manhattan, Financial District

Hybrid: 4 days in-office, 1 day remote

Base Salary: $90,000–$110,000 + uncapped commission and team performance incentives

We’re now looking for an experienced recruitment leader to take ownership of our Permanent Recruitment team in New York, developing an established group of recruiters while driving client growth across the U.S. market.

This is a hands-on, player-coach opportunity for someone who enjoys both sides of leadership: developing people and driving commercial performance.

You’ll lead the team day-to-day while remaining active in the market yourself, with a particular focus on business development, senior client relationships and strategic recruitment opportunities.

The Opportunity

You’ll take responsibility for an established six-person Permanent Recruitment team made up of experienced recruiters at different levels of seniority.

Working directly with our New York Director, you’ll help shape the commercial direction of the team, develop individual performance and identify opportunities to grow our client base across Data & AI.

This role is ideal for an experienced agency recruitment leader who has progressed into management but still enjoys being close to clients, winning business and contributing directly to commercial success.

You’ll have the autonomy to lead the function while benefiting from the brand, infrastructure and market reputation of an established global recruitment business.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading, coaching and developing our New York Permanent Recruitment team
• Driving business development and creating new client relationships
• Expanding existing accounts through strong senior-level client partnerships
• Remaining personally involved in recruitment, particularly across the client and commercial side
• Supporting experienced recruiters to improve performance and progress into future leadership roles
• Setting team objectives and driving performance against revenue and activity goals
• Overseeing delivery across key accounts and ensuring a consistently high level of client service
• Working closely with our New York Director on market strategy, team development and future growth

Who We’re Looking For

• An experienced agency recruiter with a proven background in Permanent recruitment
• Previous experience managing and developing a recruitment team
• A strong personal track record in business development and client relationship management
• Someone who has remained commercially hands-on while progressing into leadership
• Experience within Data, AI, Technology or another specialist technical recruitment market
• A confident coach who can develop experienced recruiters as well as future leaders
• Someone commercially ambitious who wants to take an established team to its next stage of growth
