Key Responsibilities
- Handle daytoday accounting including cutting checks, journal entries, reconciliations, and bill entry
- Perform payroll and billing verification , collaborating with internal teams for data accuracy
- Maintain tracking tools and create Excelbased reports for ownership
- Support the team with urgent, timesensitive requests as they arise
- Work directly with the Controller (no direct reports initially)
- Assist with process improvements as the company continues to grow
- Family-owned transportation/logistics business
- Approximately $40M in revenue
- Fastpaced, open, culturally diverse environment
- Ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work and staying adaptable
- 5+ years of relevant accounting experience (logistics or construction experience preferred)
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Accounting or related field
- Strong QuickBooks Desktop skills (transition to QuickBooks Online expected)
- Advanced Excel abilities, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables
- High integrity, strong professionalism, and excellent multitasking skills
- Ability to stay organized and effective in a dynamic, sometimes chaotic environment
