In this role, you will be instrumental in delivering comprehensive mental health services to incarcerated individuals, ensuring they receive the support necessary for their rehabilitation and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations and assessments, utilizing evidence-based practices to create effective treatment plans tailored for incarcerated individuals.

• Provide crisis intervention services to ensure the safety and immediate care of patients experiencing acute mental health issues.
\n
• Document patient progress meticulously in clinical records, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
\n
• Coordinate mental health care dispositions in collaboration with correctional facility staff, ensuring patients receive appropriate levels and types of care.

• Lead therapeutic group sessions focusing on a variety of topics relevant to mental health and recovery, fostering a safe space for expression and healing.

• Participate in weekly clinical supervision with a Clinical Supervisor to enhance professional development and treatment efficacy.
\n
• Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and treatment planning initiatives to collaborate on patient care strategies.

• Supervise and provide mentorship to social work interns or volunteers assigned to your care, contributing to their educational growth.
\n
• Complete all required statistical reports related to patient care activities and outcomes for our records and compliance purposes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of your work will involve providing mental health support to incarcerated individuals. This population may experience a range of mental health issues, from severe mental illnesses to behavioral health challenges and histories of substance use. You will guide these individuals through their treatment journeys, advocating for their needs and facilitating their reintegration into society.

Qualifications\n

• A valid and unrestricted license in California as either a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
\n
• A minimum of five years of full-time, paid, professional experience providing direct client care within a behavioral health setting, post-licensure inclusive.

Preferred Experience\n

Preference will be given to candidates who possess:

Compensation and Benefits\n
