Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for a 16-week travel assignment in Malibu, CA, providing care to juvenile inmate patients within a locked forensic facility. In this role, you will deliver comprehensive nursing care to youth facing mood, anxiety, and behavioral conditions in a specialized juvenile corrections setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform clinical assessments, triage, and ongoing nursing care for juvenile patients within a correctional environment.
- Support patients experiencing acute behavioral health issues, anxiety, and mood disorders.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety, security, and medical protocols while working closely with law enforcement personnel.
- Maintain complete and accurate patient care documentation.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Licensure & Certifications:
- Active California State Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Current AHA BLS certification.
- MAB (Management of Aggressive Behavior) or CPI certification.
- LA City Fire and Life Safety Card (must be LA City specific).
- LA County Employee Health Clearance completed prior to start date.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of correctional RN in-patient experience required; prior experience with juvenile populations preferred.
