Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our outpatient office, where you will work closely with a dynamic team of healthcare professionals. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of patients' physical conditions and functional limitations, utilizing both objective and subjective measures.
• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans that promote recovery and maximize mobility based on assessment findings.
• Deliver therapeutic interventions, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modality applications such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation, to address specific pain and physical impairments.
• Carefully monitor and document patients' progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to optimize outcomes.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, occupational and speech therapists, to streamline care and enhance overall patient experiences.
• Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs, lifestyle modifications, and strategies to maintain progress post-discharge.
• Ensure adherence to all facility protocols, state regulations, and current best practices in physical therapy.

The patients you will work with typically include older adults recovering from surgeries, strokes, or orthopedic conditions. They may require specialized therapeutic interventions to regain independence in activities of daily living. Qualifications

• Education: A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or a Bachelor's/Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required.
• Licensure: Candidates must possess an active and unrestricted Physical Therapy license in the state of New York.
• Clinical Skills: Strong clinical assessment capabilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively are essential.

Preferred Experience
