We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist with strong ADP , multi-state payroll , garnishment , and payroll tax expertise to support a high-volume, full-cycle payroll operation. Hybrid Schedule – 1-2 Days Onsite Per Week

Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

• Process and administer full-cycle, multi-state bi-weekly payroll
• Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries
• Manage payroll changes including:
  • New hires
  • Terminations
  • Employee status changes
  • Compensation updates
• Process complex payroll transactions including:
  • Garnishments
  • Tax withholdings
  • Bonuses
  • Commissions
  • Incentives
  • Reimbursements
• Ensure accurate payroll tax reporting and compliance
• Reconcile payroll records, tax filings, and general ledger accounts
• Prepare and distribute annual W-2s
• Support quarterly and year-end payroll reporting requirements
• Review payroll registers and audit payroll data for accuracy
• Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
• Respond to employee and management payroll-related questions

✅ 3+ years of payroll experience

✅ Hands-on experience processing full-cycle bi-weekly payroll

✅ Strong experience with ADP

✅ Multi-state payroll processing experience

✅ Experience managing garnishments and employee tax withholdings

✅ Knowledge of payroll tax compliance and reporting

✅ Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

✅ Excellent communication and customer service abilities

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
• Experience supporting payroll audits, compliance, and reporting activities
• Knowledge of payroll best practices and process improvements

• Payroll Reconciliations

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Poughkeepsie, NY.

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
