Event Manager - Candlelight (Boston)

We are Fever, a tech platform that connects people with live entertainment experiences. We are looking for a part‑time onsite Event Manager for our Candlelight Concerts in Boston, Massachusetts. The role involves managing event logistics, staff, and the overall guest experience at each candlelit concert. What is Candlelight? Since July 2019, Fever Originals has produced a series of classical music concerts in intimate, undiscovered venues worldwide. Candlelight concerts are now presented in over 300 cities, including many in the U.S. and Europe. Main Responsibilities Serve as the primary onsite contact for Candlelight events and staff, communicating directly with Fever Originals managers. Maintain staff roster, set schedules, and coordinate with staffing agencies on event reschedules. Ensure all staff are trained for their duties (e.g., ticket validation, guest seating, candle placement). Transport event supplies to and from venues using a U‑Haul or alternative methods if a valid driver’s license is not available. Manage inventory and track supplies for venues. Handle any printing needs. Manage guest lists for all events. Oversee opening and closing remarks; provide recorded speeches or public speaking when needed. Report weekly to Fever Originals Project Managers on event status, including pre‑ and post‑event findings. Assist with evaluating and executing walk‑throughs of potential venues. Represent the Fever and Candlelight brands with professional communication and customer service at every event. Required Skills 1+ years of event management experience or a relevant degree (preferred). Interest and passion for live music and event organization. Exceptional customer service skills. Experience leading an onsite team. Strong problem‑solving abilities. Ability to work well under pressure. Knowledge of AV and PA systems is desirable. Personal laptop required for work. A valid driver’s license is strongly preferred. Schedule & Pay The contract is for 6 months, starting as soon as possible. Events run weekly with shift times ranging from 4 to 8 hours per day. The position allows a maximum of 29 hours per week and may include work on holidays, excluding Thanksgiving and Christmas. The hourly rate is $25. Opportunities to extend the contract at the end of the initial term exist. Our Hiring Process 30‑minute video call with the local Project Manager or Producer to clarify responsibilities.
