Senior Accountant Experience and Salary Experience: Senior Level Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year Job Details We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join a growing accounting and advisory organization serving privately held businesses. This individual will take ownership of accounting and financial reporting responsibilities across multiple client relationships while working directly with business owners, executives, and internal leadership. Key Responsibilities Manage accounting activities for multiple client engagements or business entities Lead and support month‑end and year‑end close processes Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP Perform account reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and general ledger analysis Analyze financial results and identify discrepancies, trends, and potential issues Support tax preparation, planning, and related accounting activities Communicate directly with clients regarding accounting and financial matters Assist business owners and decision‑makers in understanding financial performance Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting Manage competing priorities and deadlines across multiple engagements Collaborate with senior accounting, tax, and advisory professionals Ideal Background Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline Several years of progressive accounting experience Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting Hands‑on month‑end close and general ledger experience Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements Strong reconciliation and financial analysis capabilities Experience working with multiple clients or entities preferred Public accounting, CPA firm, outsourced accounting, or advisory experience highly desirable CPA or active CPA candidate preferred Strong Excel skills QuickBooks or similar accounting-system experience Comfortable communicating directly with clients and senior stakeholders What Success Looks Like The strongest candidate will combine solid technical accounting fundamentals with the ability to independently manage responsibilities, communicate effectively with clients, and understand the business story behind the numbers.
