Job Description UW Medical Center-Montlake - Radiation Oncology has an outstanding opportunity for a Part Time Registered Nurse.

WORK SCHEDULE

Part time schedule 8 - 10 hour day shifts, 3 - 4 days per week Monday - Friday, with some call responsibilities Call responsibilities will include 1 - 2 weekend shifts per month Shifts will run between 7:00am and 7:00pm; the exact start times will vary by day Department Description Radiation Oncology provides care to patients of all ages - including pediatric patients - who are undergoing radiation therapy for cancer. Our radiation therapy services have been consistently recognized by U.S. News & World Report as one of the nation’s best.

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

Provide life-changing treatment for cancer patients Position is part time and offers work-life balance Primary Job Responsibilities Collaborates closely with the Nurse Manager to triage and prioritize patient needs Serves in a roving role, addressing emergent situations as they arise throughout the shift Supports multiple providers Educates patients and their families on symptom management Assists in complex care coordination and continuity of care referrals Supports patients undergoing TBI prior to transplant Documents patient care outcomes in our EHR system (Epic) Performs phone triage Answers patient calls and eCare messages Monitors patient flow in the clinic Requirements 3 years of recent oncology, medical-surgical, or ambulatory nursing experience Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State Active BLS (required by start date) Active PALS (required within first 6 months) Must be willing to work with pediatric patients About Uw Medical Center-montlake UW Medical Center is an acute care academic medical center located in Seattle with two campuses: Montlake and Northwest.
