Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed assessments to evaluate clients' symptoms and needs related to mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety disorders.

• Collaborate with clients to create personalized treatment plans that align with their goals, preferences, and progress throughout their therapeutic journey.

• Deploy evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients navigate their challenges effectively.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies to empower them in their recovery process.
\n
• Continuously monitor client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to ensure optimal care.

• Work closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide an integrated and holistic approach to client care.

• Stay informed of the latest developments and research in the treatment of mood disorders to enhance clinical practice and improve patient outcomes.

• Maintain comprehensive and confidential records of client sessions, in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in case consultations and team meetings to share insights, enhance knowledge, and support one another in clinical practice.

• Advocate for clients’ mental health needs and help to reduce stigma associated with mood disorders within the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals experiencing mood disorders, including those battling depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Our clientele comes from diverse backgrounds, and as a therapist, you will have the opportunity to tailor your approach to meet the cultural and personal needs of each client, fostering an atmosphere of trust and respect.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.

• Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as CBT and DBT specific to mood disorders.

• Strong understanding of psychopharmacology to facilitate effective collaboration with psychiatrists and other professionals.

• Demonstrated success in achieving positive treatment outcomes for clients with mood disorders.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to connect with clients from varied backgrounds.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least three years of clinical experience working directly with clients suffering from mood disorders.

• Experience in a remote therapy setting, comfortable with digital tools and telehealth protocols.

Compensation and Benefits\n
